Terry A. Fischer's Gallery
My goal is to create an image that opens a window to a
story. I try to capture an expression, an attitude, a moment in time in my
portraits that reveals a bit of that story to the viewer. As for landscapes,
I am inspired not only by the beauty that God created in a place, but by the
feel of the lives that have touched the landscape and may have left a bit of
themselves there. Sometimes I can almost feel the history as I walk the
land.
I have lived and painted all of my life in southeastern Wisconsin where I am
ever amazed at nature’s variety. I find the relaxed feel of a watercolor to
be the perfect medium to create the softness of flesh tones and hair while
still brisk enough for sparkling eyes and I have found that watercolor lends
versatility and excitement to landscapes as well.Terry A. Fischer
